Florida Physician Email List

This Data Download provides the license status, mailing address, and e-mail address for health care practitioners and establishments licensed in Florida. The data is formatted as a compressed pipe (|) delimited text and can be imported into Excel. Please note that this file contains over a million records and cannot be opened in Microsoft Excel. This email file must be imported into Microsoft Access or some other database software for ease of use. Please contact us if you’d like the list broken up by profession.

How to properly convert the file into an importable CSV or Excel file

If you’re starting a new workbook, click on “Blank Workbook” in Excel. Navigate to the “Data” tab on the top menu bar. Click on the “Get Data” option (it might be labeled “Get External Data” depending on your version of Excel), then choose “From Text/CSV” from the dropdown menu. This will open a file explorer window. Browse to the location where your new data file is saved, select it, and then click “Import”. In the “Import Data” dialog box, select “Delimited” as the file origin since your file is pipe-separated. Then click “Next”. In the “Delimiters” section, check the box next to “Other” and type a pipe “|” character into the box. You should see a preview of how your data will be separated below. Then click “Next”. Excel will present you with a preview of your data. You can specify the data type for each column by selecting it and choosing the appropriate option (e.g., Text, Date, etc.). Once you’re done, click “Finish”.
